A study tour was conducted for students of the capital's school at a garment factory. Such events are held for schoolchildren to help them decide on their future profession, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
Pupils of grades 7-9 of secondary school No. 23 got acquainted with the work of the Yutaria sewing factory, which is located in the special economic zone of Astana.
The students were shown modern sewing production technologies and explained in detail the process of working on universal devices. The children were able to ask their questions to the staff.
"We saw with our own eyes how overalls are sewn, and learned how jackets are given a certain shape. It was very interesting," said Diana Didarova, a 9th grade student.
The purpose of this tour is to familiarize students with relevant professions that are in demand on the labor market, as well as to generate interest in technical specialties.
"We were very happy to meet the guys and show our factory. We are sure that such events will help the younger generation to better determine their choice of profession and make an informed choice," said Altyn Tashmetova, master of the jacket shop.
According to the Department of Education of the city, Astana hosts a series of career guidance tours for students in grades 7-11 and first-year college students, organized jointly with the Office for Investment and Entrepreneurship Development, the Astana Invest City Investment Development Center, and the Astana Development Center. As part of the project, about 5,000 schoolchildren and students have already had the opportunity to visit enterprises and educational institutions in the capital.
