The capital's utilities are working in an enhanced mode around the clock. During the day, they remove snow from the city with thousands of trucks, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On the morning of January 31, 2,633 road workers and 1,862 special equipment went out to clear snow.
On the night of January 31, more than 50 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital's snow dumps by 3,735 heavy truck flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 4.5 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city by 353,998 flights.
First of all, according to the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow polygons in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, call "112".
