The Higher Agrotechnical College, founded in 1968, is a specialized higher educational institution in our country. Currently, within the framework of the “Bright Future” program, about 150 students from Mangistau region are receiving free education in colleges of Akmola region. This project has become an important support for young people who want to master in-demand specialties and get a quality education.
The program covers 10 working specialties, including agronomy, mechanics, information systems, land management and electrical power supply. Students not only receive free education, but also receive a hostel, three meals a day and an additional scholarship within the framework of the state order for local education. Also, since 2016, the Higher Agrotechnical College has been a participant in the international WorldSkills competition. Students become prizewinners of regional and republican competitions. He participated in the international WorldSkills Lyon competition in the "Electrical Installation System" category and took the third prize in the republican competition "Industrial Automation".
A participant in the program, a first-year student, Asadbek Golbayev, came from Aktau to study programming at the Higher Agrotechnical College in the village of Shagalaly. He became interested in programming from an early age and plans to work at KazMunayGas in the future.
"I was provided with free accommodation and meals in a hostel. This program is a great opportunity," says Asadbek Golbayev.
According to the director of the college, Arman Ospanov, in 2024, 48 students were admitted to the educational institution under the "Bright Future" program. The project is financed by the national company "KazMunayGas" and is intended for students aged 12-22. In addition, in his Address, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: "The state must systematically increase its human resources potential." It is necessary to train qualified personnel not only in higher educational institutions, but also in technical and vocational education organizations in the country. This means creating conditions for college graduates to demonstrate their high results and provide them with the opportunity to work in industry-related government agencies. Students of higher agrotechnical colleges actively participate in international, republican and regional competitions and regularly win prizes. This indicates the high level of training and professionalism of our students. Our current goal is to train specialists for the agricultural sector of the region with high professional and social competence, ready for continuous improvement, capable of mastering and developing modern production technologies, and competitive in the conditions of a science-intensive economy.
