A meeting was held in Shymkent with the staff of the company "QazaqGaz Aimaq", where the strategic document for the country's development - the draft New Constitution - was widely explained. During the event, the content of the Constitution, the essence of the amendments and additions to be introduced, were comprehensively explained.
The meeting was attended by Elmira Myrzalieva, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after O. Zhanibekov, who focused on the main directions of the Constitutional reform.
According to the speaker, the main goal of the reform is to strengthen trust between society and the state, strengthen the rule of law, and effectively protect the rights and freedoms of citizens.
– The Constitution is the legal pillar of the country. The new draft is a document born of the needs of the times. It clearly reflects the social nature of the state, the protection of human rights, issues of sovereignty and national integrity, – said Elmira Myrzaliyeva.
The meeting paid special attention to the norms aimed at strengthening human rights guarantees. In particular, it was noted that the introduction of a provision similar to the "Miranda principle" will increase the level of legal protection of citizens. That is, in the event of detention, a citizen will be explained his rights and have the right to refuse to answer without a lawyer. This is a real mechanism for ensuring fair justice and the rule of law.
It was also noted that the document establishes the protection of sovereignty and independence as a priority, the inadmissibility of dual citizenship, and the inviolability of state integrity. These principles are aimed at strengthening national security and national unity.
The new version clarifies the provision of free secondary education and medical care, and prioritizes the development of science and innovation. It states that public and private educational organizations should operate on the basis of the same standards. This is a guarantee of quality education and equal opportunities.
During the meeting, company employees asked questions that concerned them and openly exchanged views. The meeting, held in a dialogue format, allowed participants to increase their legal literacy and gain a deeper understanding of the content of the Constitutional reform.
The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on the strategic importance of the new Constitution, which aims to strengthen stability within the country, protect citizens' rights, and preserve national values. Participants expressed full support for the proposed constitutional changes.
