A solemn event dedicated to the Republic Day was held on October 25. The head of the region Serik Shapkenov took part in it, who congratulated the residents of the region on the national holiday, the press service of the akim of the region reports.
– As the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev stressed, "Building genuine Independence is a daily painstaking work, a verified and consistent policy. We will survive as a nation in the global world only by having a strong and independent state." The celebration of the Republic Day is a national historical day symbolizing our national integrity and established statehood. May there always be a peaceful sky over our homeland, and the main values remain unity and harmony, respect for historical identity and preservation of spiritual heritage. On the way to the upcoming success, we must work together," S. Shapkenov said in his congratulatory speech.
At the solemn event, the head of the region presented state awards to a number of people who contributed to the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples.

Orazgali Karshegenov is an advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atyrau Zharyk JSC.

The Order of Parasat:
Bisen Kuanov is a veteran of labor;
Nurpeis Makashov is a veteran of labor;
Yerlan Mukai is the Deputy Managing Director of NCOC.
The Order of "Kurmet":
Nurkabil Aitmukhambetov – Director of the Atyrau Regional Children's Hospital;
Sadirgali Adilov is a veteran of labor;
Mahsh Gaisina is an associate professor of the Department of Music and Art at Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov;

Nursaule Kuttybayeva – Senior accounting operator of the workshop for the production and transportation of petroleum products of Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP;

Also, several citizens were awarded the medals "Yeren enbegi ushin" and "Shapagat".
