The "Mamile" discussion Kazakh language club held a round table on the topic "Unity is a strong nation", the official website of the city administration reports.
At the round table meeting dedicated to Thanksgiving Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, representatives of ethnic groups who are learning the Kazakh language first thanked the Kazakh people and emphasized the role and importance of the Kazakh language in uniting the people of Kazakhstan.
Moderator Sagym Estemesova exchanged views with the participants on the topic, sharing interesting and important content related to the language and culture of the Kazakh nation. She also taught them proverbs and sayings related to the prosperity and unity of the Kazakh people.
"We not only teach the Kazakh language here, but also introduce Kazakh customs and traditions. Representatives of each ethnic group also promote their culture and learn from each other. Sometimes representatives of each nationality prepare and bring their national dishes. I have been teaching in this club for more than 5-6 years. The course, organized by the Department of Language Development and Archives of the Astana City Akimat and the state institution "Rukhaniyat", is attended by young children and 80-year-old grandmothers who want to learn the Kazakh language. In a word, this club has a special role in promoting the Kazakh language and culture,” said Sagym Barkbaykyzy.
