Today, a memorial plaque was installed in the House of Friendship in Taldykorgan as part of the republican forum to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The solemn event was attended by the regional akim Beibut Isabayev, members of the regional People's Assembly, representatives of ethno-cultural associations, members of the deputy group and young people, - the press service of the akim of the Zhetysu region reports.
During the festive meeting, the head of the region first read out the congratulatory message of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
In his congratulatory letter, the President noted that the AKP has made an invaluable contribution to strengthening the unity of our people over the years, maintaining mutual understanding and harmony in society, and noted that through the active activities of this organization, the path has been opened for the harmonious development of the language, culture and traditions of all ethnic groups in the country, as well as raising the status of the Kazakh language as a language of interethnic communication.
"The Assembly plays a special role in forming a new quality of the nation, promoting such key values ​​as patriotism and solidarity, creativity and responsibility," - the congratulatory message of the Head of State reads.
Then the akim of the region Zhetysu said that the people of Zhetysu have a common history and a common destiny He noted that there are more than 70 nationalities and ethnic groups, and 21 ethnocultural associations operate in the region. Touching upon the history of the Assembly's establishment:
- At this point, I would like to mention an important memory for our region. In 1991, the first meeting of the people of Zhetysu was held in Taldykorgan, where the "Association of National Cultural Centers" was established. The first Friendship House in our country was also opened in Taldykorgan, - said Beibut Isabayev, expressing gratitude to the veterans of the regional Assembly for their contribution to strengthening peace and harmony, and held an award ceremony.
The veterans of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Assembly's structural divisions and ethnocultural associations - a total of about 20 people - were presented with Certificates of Honor and Letters of Gratitude from the regional akim.
After this, the solemn opening ceremony of the memorial plaque "30 years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" was held. A festive concert program was presented at the event.
The members of the Assembly expressed their wishes on the occasion of the holiday. Svetlana Gaitova, head of the "Ulagat" Council of Elders under the regional People's Assembly, member of the Uyghur ethnocultural association:
- On the occasion of the Thanksgiving holiday, I express my gratitude to all my fellow citizens of Zhetysu on behalf of mothers like me. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly. During these 30 years, we have lived in friendship and prosperity. We believe that each of us will continue to contribute to strengthening our unity, - he said.
One of the Assembly veterans, Raisa Chofuchina, also expressed her congratulations:
- The Assembly is a very important structure that unites a multi-ethnic people and unites them for a common goal. Here we get to know each other and respect each other's customs and traditions. I have learned the Kazakh language and have become more familiar with the customs of the Kazakh people. A holiday like today unites us all. I wish all the people of Zhetysu good health and success in their work. May our country grow and prosper, - he said.
In particular, within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, more than 70 complex events are planned to be held in the Zhetysu region, which will demonstrate the culture of the multi-ethnic region and the work of the regional Assembly.
