The leadership and staff of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan express their deep condolences to the relatives and friends of Oleg Sergeevich Gershtansky, an outstanding figure in the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, the first discoverer of oil and healing mineral water deposits in the Mangistau region.
The whole life of O. S. Gershtansky is a vivid example of unshakable loyalty to the Republic, loyalty to his work and faith.
From 1978 until the end of his life, O. S. Gershtansky worked in various positions and management positions in the oil and gas industry, was a member of the Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists, a member of the Central Commission for Exploration and Development of Hydrocarbon Fields under the Ministry, a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the KAZENERGY Association, the author of more than 100 scientific articles, 82 inventions and 5 monographs.
For his outstanding achievements in his career, he was awarded state awards: the Orders of "Kurmet", "Parasat", the medal "For Meritorious Labor" and other medals, awards, as well as the honorary titles "Honored Geologist of Kazakhstan", "Honored Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry".
Oleg Sergeevich lived a bright life, always took an active civic position, was distinguished by deep moral qualities, high professionalism and dedication to his work.
Geologists and geophysicists The association has lost one of its most valuable members - the keeper and defender of the oil traditions of our country.
The bright image of Oleg Sergeevich will forever remain in our hearts, and his work will remain in the memory of future generations.
