A traffic accident occurred in Aktau when a LADA vehicle collided with a streetlight pole. The car sustained severe damage, leaving the driver and passenger trapped inside.

Servicemen of Military Unit 6656 of the National Guard, who were nearby, promptly came to the rescue. The guardsmen extracted the victims from the vehicle, moved them to a safe location, and provided first aid.

— We immediately noticed the accident and took action without hesitation. The victims were conscious but had sustained injuries, so we called emergency medical services and remained on-site until they arrived, — said Private Reshat Gazimbekov, patrol squad leader.

The guardsmen also secured the accident scene until the police arrived, preventing additional risks.
