In line with the implementation of the Head of State’s instructions, the Anti-Corruption Agency continues its work on expanding international cooperation.
On an ongoing basis, the agency studies best practices and standards based on successful international experiences in preventing corruption.
From March 26 to 28, the delegation of the Anti-Corruption Agency participated in the OECD Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum, as well as the OECD Working Group on Public Integrity and Anti-Corruption (Paris).
The forum is a key international platform that brings together experts from over 90 countries to discuss current trends and challenges in anti-corruption policy.
The event discussed the application of modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics, in the combat against corruption.
As part of the forum, a bilateral meeting was held between the Chairman of the Agency Askat Zhumagali and representatives of the OECD Directorate for Financial and Entrepreneurial Affairs – the division responsible for overseeing anti-corruption initiatives.
During the negotiations, the prospects of Kazakhstan joining the OECD Working Group on Bribery and adhering to the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions were discussed.
Joining these initiatives will allow for expanded international cooperation, interaction with law enforcement agencies in foreign countries, and strengthened mechanisms for the extradition of individuals and the return of illegal assets.
Kazakhstan’s active participation in the forum and its commitment to expanding cooperation with the OECD confirm the country’s steady adherence to international integrity standards and its ongoing prevention of corruption.
