On March 28, 2025, as part of the spring vacation school, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional seminar titled “Transformation of education in natural sciences and mathematics: new methods and tools”.

Teachers from School Gymnasium No. 12 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region shared their best practices:

- Nadezhda P. Samambetova, a teacher of chemistry, “Artificial intelligence in the personalization of the educational process”;

- Elena N. Bykova, a teacher of biology, “Innovative teaching methods in natural sciences and mathematics”;

- Natalia V. Zhukova, Olga S. Rylskaya, teachers of computer science, “Gamification in teaching computer science and STEM disciplines”;

- Erik M. Baigometov, a teacher of geography, and Erkezhan A. Asetova, a teacher of physics, “Project-based learning in natural sciences and mathematics”;

- Alexandra E. Khudyakova, Alla Yu. Petrukha, teachers of mathematics, “Big data and statistics: new approaches in teaching”;

- Darya V. Bulyzhko, Gulzhan B. Mamezhanova, teachers of mathematics, “Applying STEM methods in the educational process”;

- Elena N. Bykova, Erkezhan A. Asetova, Erik M. Baigometov, “Panel discussion “Digital technologies in teaching natural sciences and mathematics: progress or substitution of classical methods?”

The seminar resulted in a feedback session. The participants highlighted the fruitful content of the event, its practical focus and relevance, identified new effective opportunities to improve their own teaching practices.

The seminar was attended by 70 teachers of mathematics, computer science, chemistry, biology and geography of secondary schools of Samar, Altai, Ridder, Shemonaikha, Glubokoe, Ulan districts and Ust-Kamenogorsk city.
