In the first two months of 2025, social inspectors conducted 87 inspections to protect the rights of socially vulnerable categories of the population, of which 62 were unscheduled, 5 were within the framework of preventive control, and 20 were at the request of the prosecutor's office. According to the results of the inspection, 34 orders were issued to eliminate the identified violations, and 44 fines were imposed for approximately 11.4 million tenge.
The following were covered by state control: akimat - 1, departments and administrations of local executive bodies - 15, state institutions - 1, hospitals, clinics - 5, kindergartens - 4, schools - 9, colleges, lyceums - 5, PCs - 10, shops - 12, cafes, restaurants, hotels - 8, shopping malls - 3, police station - 1, dentistry - 3, bus parks, bus/railway stations, airports - 6, library - 1 and others.
For example, in the Kostanay region, based on the application of a public association of people with disabilities, an unscheduled inspection was conducted at a local store due to the fact that it was not accessible to people with disabilities. According to the results of the inspection, the subject was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine, and an instruction was issued to eliminate the identified violations.
At the same time, social inspectors say that positive changes are taking place in the adaptation of social infrastructure for people with disabilities in all regions. This is also confirmed by people with special needs.
"Recently, progress has been observed in the adaptation of social infrastructure for people with disabilities in the city of Karaganda, including in the Alikhan Bokeikhan district. The city is gradually becoming more accessible to people with disabilities: the infrastructure is improving, many buildings are equipped with ramps and adapted entrances. An example of this is the Gennady Golovkin Physical Education and Recreation Complex, where the entrance has been equipped, an elevator has been installed, as a result of which more space has been allocated for citizens with disabilities to engage in sports. Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done, but positive changes are already noticeable and I believe that in the future an accessible environment will become normal,” noted Sergey Kharchenko, a resident of Karaganda, a person with the second group of disabilities.
