In the renovated subways are installed LED lighting and motion sensors, sound speakers for music playback. The ceilings are covered with special non-combustible material, and the walls are decorated with bright stylized paintings.

For example, in the underground passage at the intersection of Abay and Abylai khan, the walls were stylized with quotations of Kazakh poet and enlightener Abay Kunanbayev. In the underground passage opposite the Palace of the Republic, the walls were decorated with images of seven treasures of the Kazakh nomad "Zhety Kazyna".

Within the framework of the "Safe City" direction, several video cameras of the new generation are installed in each underground passageway. They are equipped with the ability to recognize faces and are connected to the monitoring system of district departments of internal affairs.
