On the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Republic of Kazakhstan
14.04.2025 09:36:26 1444On October 30 this year, a regional seminar was held in Kokshetau to explain the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan and discuss approaches to localizing the sdgs at the local level.
The Seminar was organized by JSC "Institute of economic research" with the support of UNDP, ADB, the Ministry of national economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Akmola region.
The seminar was opened by Khambar Bakhytgul, Director Of the center for strategic research and sustainable development of the Institute of economic research JSC.
The Workshop was attended by representatives of local Executive bodies, civil society, youth, the private sector, and academia.
The workshop was held in the format of a business game "Mission 2030", developed by UN experts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The workshop participants identified relevant sdgs for the region: SDG 3 "Good health and well-being", SDG 4 "Quality education", SDG 8" Decent work and economic growth", and SDG 6"Clean water and sanitation".
The results of the workshop on Akmola region will be taken into account during the further stage of SDG implementation in Kazakhstan.
