Labeling requirements for packaged food products!
15.04.2025 18:05:36 198Products placed in consumer packaging are considered packaged food products. In order for the consumer to receive complete, correct and reliable information about the product, food products must be labeled.
Food product labeling is information about the food product written in the form of inscriptions, pictures, signs, symbols, other symbols and (or) their combinations on the consumer packaging, transport packaging or consumer packaging and (or) transport packaging attached to or placed on or attached to them.
Food product labeling clear, easy to read, reliable and should not mislead consumers, while signs, symbols, symbols should be contrasted with the marked background. Labeling of packaged food products should include the following information: name of food products; composition; number; date of preparation; expiration date; storage conditions; manufacturer's name and location; recommendations and (or) restrictions on use; indicators of nutritional value; information on the presence of components obtained by using GMOs in food products; Product turnover on the market of the member states of the Customs Union ("EAS" symbol).
