TURKISTAN: MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF EXPERTS

✔️The First Deputy Akim of Turkestan Region Zulpykhar Zholdasov met with the representatives of the international expert group of UNESCO on the protection of historical and cultural heritage. He discussed important issues with experts led by well-known archeologist Dmitry Voyakin.

✔️During the meeting, ways of beautifying the territory of "Aziret Sultan" reserve-museum and implementing the project of assessing the impact of the archaeological park project on the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmet Yasawi under the protection of UNESCO were considered. At the same time, the need to coordinate the planned works with the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO was mentioned. Zulpykhar Sansyzbayuly thanked the international experts for their work and cooperation and said that Kazakhstan strictly observes its international obligations to preserve the cultural heritage and conducts systematic work in this direction. The protection of the mausoleum is under the strict control of the state.
