Dana Zhalgabekova, a resident of Shet district, has been making dombra together with her husband for three years. During this time, they made 30 national musical instruments. Artisans who received a grant from the akim of Karaganda region to support youth entrepreneurship bought the necessary equipment to bring the small family business to a new level.
- We live in the village of Agadyr. We have been making drums for three years. The main master is my husband. And I paint, decorate and do other things. This is our small family business. Last year, I took part in the "Generations of Independence" competition of the akim of Karaganda region and won a grant, with which we bought machines. My husband used to do everything by hand, but now our work is much easier. We attach great importance to quality. We plan to develop our business further, - said Dana.
Buyers of musical instruments are not only residents of Shet district, but also Astana and Karaganda cities.
Artisans plan to expand their business and hire masters.
