During the government meeting, the Prime Minister drew attention to the good results of the pilot use of the Tax Free tool.

Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov reported that the TaxFree system was introduced in Kazakhstan in 2019 in the pilot mode in the cities of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and Turkestan. Within the framework of the use of this tool, 4.9 billion tenge worth of goods were sold to foreign tourists. The average sales amount was 837 thousand tenge. Thus, the Tax Free system has become an effective tool for stimulating the purchasing activity of tourists.

The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, to develop a specific algorithm for the implementation of the "Tax Free" mechanism.
