Member of the Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan Tlegen Kaskin discussed issues of cooperation with Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Audit Court of Iran Hassan Zamani. The negotiations took place during the 7th meeting of the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the SCO Member States in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Tlegen Kaskin noted that the auditors of Kazakhstan and Iran have long-standing close relations both on a bilateral basis and within the international organizations such as ASOSAI, ECOSAI and SCO.

The parties emphasized the importance of the 28th Governing Board meeting and the 23rd Training Committee meeting of ECOSAI, which were held in September last year in Astana.

It was also noted that the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan was elected a member of the ASOSAI Governing Board, and the Supreme Audit Court of Iran was elected a member of the ASOSAI Audit Committee for the period up to 2027.

"In terms of bilateral cooperation, the areas of performance audit, financial reporting audit and electronic (distance) audit are of particular interest to us. We are also interested in implementation of the best information technologies and artificial intelligence tools, such as big data analysis, into audit activities," added the Member of the SAC of Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to further strengthen constructive cooperation in all priority areas.
