Recognition of foreign diplomas: how to apply for documents through the PSC

The number of citizens who have received education abroad is growing in Kazakhstan. In order to use a foreign diploma or certificate on the territory of our country, it is necessary to go through the recognition procedure for a document of education.
Recognition is the official confirmation of the authenticity of documents issued by foreign educational institutions, scientific centers or laboratories. Citizens who have returned to Kazakhstan with foreign educational documents can apply for their recognition at Public Service Centers (PSC) or through the Electronic Government Portal (EGP).
To submit an application, you must prepare the following documents: • The applicant's identity card; • Receipt of payment of the state fee; • The original document of education and its appendices, as well as their copies.
If the document and its appendices are written in a foreign language, a notarized translation must be provided. The translation must include not only the text, but also the seals contained in the original document.
Documents are accepted both in their original form and in a notarized form. The time frame for reviewing an application depends on the method of filing and the type of documents.
It should be noted that the recognition procedure allows the official use of foreign educational documents for employment, continuing studies or participation in competitions for public positions.
