On May 7, the grand opening of the exposition of state symbols, dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, took place on the central square of the city of Rudny. The event was held under the slogan "Uly Zhenis: Yerlikke tagzym, urpakka ulgi" — "The Great Victory: A bow to the feat, an example for posterity." Thousands of citizens gathered to pay tribute to history and celebrate important dates in an atmosphere of national unity. The central event was the opening of a new symbolic exhibition, including: • A 20-meter-high flagpole with a 2×4-meter national flag • Two monumental granite blocks with a description of the state symbols and the text of the Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan • Modern technical equipment — lifting mechanism and architectural lighting, which makes the object visible even in the evening The exposition will become a place of attraction for citizens, where solemn ceremonies, festive events and patriotic actions will take place. It not only decorates the central square, but also fulfills an important mission to promote state symbols and strengthen national identity. Special attention on this day was paid to honoring the outstanding residents of Rudny. Akhmetzhanov Gabdolla, Glaser Gennady Efimovich, Kakenov Zhaksylyk Kakenuly and Pentyukhova Lilia Lvovna were awarded the badge of "Honorary resident of the city of Rudny". In addition, certificates of honor were awarded to Akim of Kostanay region and akim of Rudny city. The festive atmosphere was complemented by a military march with the participation of military personnel, school and college students, as well as the brass band of military unit No. 6697. 280 people took part in the march, and the culmination of the event was a live broadcast of the Military Parade in honor of the Victory anniversary. "A strong state is...first of all, spiritual values, national identity, respect for the history and symbols of the country," says the Head of State. On this day, these words found a visible embodiment - in the flag, anthem, marches, and, most importantly, in the eyes of those who came to honor their Homeland. The opening of the exhibition became a bright and significant event for the whole city, uniting generations, demonstrating the values that underpin the independence of Kazakhstan.
