The opening ceremony of the Republican Boxing tournament among young men for the prizes of Kuanysh Karazhanov, the holder of the Badge of Honor for services to sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place today.

Deputy akim of the district Samat Kydyrbekovich spoke at the opening of the tournament, who noted Kuanysh Karazhanov's contribution to the development of the sports sector. In addition, he spoke about the ongoing work on the development of mass sports in the district, spoke about the commissioning of sports complexes built to effectively use the leisure time of young people and teenagers, to introduce them to sports, and wished success to the young athletes participating in the tournament.

At the event, "Honored Sports Worker" of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerkin Orazbekovich expressed his best wishes and noted the exemplary achievements of qualified coach Kuanysh Karazhanovich in his exemplary life.

It should be noted that traditionally about 180 young athletes from the Republics of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as from Almaty, Aktobe, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, and West Kazakhstan regions of the country take part in the competitions.
