In Kostanay region, work continues to support families in difficult life situations. Targeted social assistance (TSA) is assigned to those who live below the poverty line.

As of May 1, 2025, 1,440 families receive TSA - this is 6,365 people, including 4,140 children under 18. The total amount of payments was 282.5 million tenge.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of recipients decreased by 26.5%. This is due to the fact that many families were able to improve their financial situation through employment and income growth.

253 able-bodied TSA recipients were involved in employment programs - this is 100% of those in need of work.

Children from 1 to 6 years old from families receiving TSA are assigned an additional monthly payment. In 2025, 1,837 children received it in the amount of 34.5 million tenge.

Since the beginning of the year, the FSM Social mobile application has been in operation in Kazakhstan, helping district commissions to objectively assess the living conditions of families. The application allows you to photograph living conditions, recording geolocation, which eliminates a formal approach.

Experts note the main advantages of FSM Social - precise geolocation during examination; simplification of the decision-making procedure; increased transparency and targeting of assistance.

The innovation has already improved the accuracy of data collection and increased fairness in the provision of support.
