Caution! Fraudsters deceive citizens on behalf of government officials

 Recently, fraudcases have become more frequent,inwhichattackerspose as governmentofficialsandusevariousschemestogainaccesstopersonaldataandfinancialresources of citizens.

Cases have become more frequentwhen,under the guise of non-existentproblemswith the tax service,suchas an allegedlyblockedaccountor the presence of a letterfrom the taxservice, a citizen is offered to urgently make anappointment with theagency.

The scammersallegedlyhelp to book a queueonlineandask you to provide the codethatcomesin the SMS.Infact, thiscodeis a confirmation of a bankingtransaction,and by communicatingit, the personhimselfopensaccesstohisaccounts.

As a result, fraudsters gain access to all funds for theft. In order not to become a victim of fraudsters, citizens are advised:

  1. Ask the caller to provideproofthathereallyworksforthisorganization(last name, first name,position, externalphone number);
  2. Do not trust suspicious mailings and calls, even if the interviewee introduces himself as an employee of government agencies;
  3. Neverfollowquestionablelinksfrommessages.;
  4. Undernocircumstances should you disclosecodes,carddetails, orotherpersonaldatareceivedbySMS.;
  5. Take your time transferring money at the request of unknown persons;
  6. It is mandatory to verify the accuracy of incoming information through official websites or contact centers of government agencies.;
  7. Inallcases that arousesuspicion, immediatelycontactthebankand law enforcementagencies.

 Government officials do not have the right to request personal data, bank account numbers, cards, or other banking details from citizens by phone or via messengers.
