In facility No. 28 of the DUIS in the West Kazakhstan region, employees stopped another attempt to deliver prohibited substances to the colony.

The incident occurred on August 14 at about 15:50. During the inspection of a postal parcel addressed to one of the convicts, 19 tea bags were found in the tea package, inside of which there was a substance of plant origin of dark green color with a specific odor.

The prohibited cargo was identified by the staff of the inspection group of the institution together with the military personnel of the National Guard. The investigative task force of the UPR was called to the scene. Uralsk, primary materials have been collected.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the West Kazakhstan Region notes that work on blocking the channels for the delivery of prohibited items to the colony is underway on an ongoing basis.
