Kazakhstan and Protecta begin discussions on localizing relay protection technologies for the kazakh energy sector

Budapest, August 27, 2025. - The Ambassador of Kazakhstan visited the headquarters of Protecta Electronics Ltd. in Budapest. Protecta is one of the leading manufacturers of intelligent electronic devices for relay protection, control, and automation of energy systems.
During the meeting with the company's leadership, headed by Mr. Csaba Radvánszki, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the energy sector, including the potential localization of relay protection technologies in Kazakhstan.
The Ambassador emphasized that Kazakhstan is actively modernizing its energy sector and is interested in advanced technological solutions that can be produced and serviced locally.
In turn, Protecta expressed its intention to visit Kazakhstan in the near future to hold negotiations with government agencies and potential partners, as well as to explore conditions for implementing joint projects in greater detail.
Both sides noted that such initiatives open opportunities for developing competencies in digital energy, creating new jobs, and transforming Kazakhstan into a regional production hub for Central Asia.
