Meeting of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan with the CEO of Budapest Airport: Strengthening cooperation and promoting tourism potential

Budapest, August 13, 2025 - A meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary Abzal Saparbekuly and the CEO of Liszt Ferenc Airport François Beriso. During the talks, issues of developing cooperation and joint initiatives aimed at promoting the tourism potential of Kazakhstan were discussed.
The parties discussed possible projects between the Embassy and the airport that will inform passengers about the cultural and tourism opportunities of Kazakhstan, as well as the organization of joint events aimed at attracting tourists and developing exchanges between the countries.
The parties also discussed the importance of the recently opened direct flight between Shymkent and Budapest and the possibility of opening direct flights from Budapest to Almaty in the future. The CEO of Budapest Airport also noted that they are ready to share their experience with colleagues from Kazakhstan.
