Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Republic of Singapore at the 42nd ICAO Assembly

26 September 2025, Montreal. On the field of the 42nd Session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on the Investigation of Transport Accidents and Incidents was signed between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau of the Republic of Singapore.

The signatories were Mr. Timur Tlegenov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO, and Mr. Bernard Lim, Senior Director of the International Relations and Security Division of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Singapore.

The document provides for cooperation and exchange of expertise and information in the field of investigation of accidents and incidents in air, rail, and maritime transport, as well as training of personnel.

During the signing ceremony, a meeting was held between the Heads of delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Singapore to the 42nd ICAO Assembly – Ms. Saltanat Tompieva, Chairwoman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, and Mr. Loh Pit Meng, Permanent Secretary for Transport of Singapore. The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
