Seminar on Explaining the Provisions of the New Tax Code

On December 12, 2025, the Department of State Revenues for the East Kazakhstan Region held a seminar to clarify the provisions of the new Tax Code, which comes into force on January 1, 2026. The event took place at the site of the State Revenue Office of Ust-Kamenogorsk, with the participation of taxpayers, media representatives, and CSC employees.

Acting Deputy Head of the Department, Askhat Zhibitaev, explained the main changes regarding value-added tax, including differentiated VAT rates, the procedure for registration, and the process for refunding excess VAT.

The seminar also covered new approaches to special tax regimes. The number of existing regimes has been reduced from seven to three: for self-employed individuals, based on a simplified declaration, and for peasant (farm) households. The information was presented by Gulzhanat Berkutova, Head of the Desk Audit Monitoring Office.

Gulmira Sabralimova, Head of the Outreach and Contact Center Office, highlighted key changes related to individual income tax, rates and deductions, and also answered the most frequently asked questions.

The issue of cash register machines and the transition to Protocol 2.0.3 was also discussed. The clarification was provided by Ayan Izekov, Chief Specialist of the Office for the Development and Quality Control of Public Services of the Public Services Department.

At the end of the event, participants received answers to their questions.
