Bern, Geneva, November 3-7 - A delegation from the Kyzylorda Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by governor Nurlybek Nalibayev, paid a working visit to the Swiss Confederation. The visit aimed to showcase the region's investment and tourism potential, establish direct contacts with canton authorities and Swiss business representatives, and foster interregional cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings with the leadership of the cantons of Bern and Geneva, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as with top management of leading Swiss companies and enterprises, including Harvest Group, INOKS Capital, Rey Group / Swiss Choice Holding, Laufen (Roca Group), GWF, RBL Group, and Kanadevia Inova.

The Swiss side expressed interest in further developing cooperation and implementing joint projects. As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on collaboration in the areas of agro-industrial development, localization of sanitary-technical product manufacturing, improving the efficiency of water and energy resource accounting, as well as considering opportunities to implement waste-to-energy technologies.

As part of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, concerts by the Kyzylorda Regional Philharmonic were held in Bern and Geneva, contributing to the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
