The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Kazykhan, participated in an event titled “Regional Cooperation: Key Outcomes of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia (CMHSCA)”, organized by Central Asian Ambassadors.
In his statement, Ambassador Kazykhan underscored that Central Asia is steadily evolving into a cohesive, resilient, and dynamically advancing region that makes a substantive contribution to strengthening international stability, fostering global dialogue, and promoting multilateral cooperation.
The Seventh HSCA meeting once again reaffirmed the effectiveness of the consultative format, which enables the countries of the region to maintain a frank and trust-based political dialogue, enhance trade and economic cooperation, and expand cultural and humanitarian exchanges. The “Central Asia Plus” formats, established with ten leading world countries and two regional organizations, provide a constructive platform to shape well-coordinated common positions on priority issues of the international agenda.
Ambassador Kazykhan expressed confidence that the historic decision to welcome Azerbaijan as a full member of the CMHSCA will provide additional momentum to deepen regional cooperation and further amplify the region’s collective voice in the international arena.
He also highlighted the support expressed by the Heads of State of Central Asia for the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2027–2028 term, noting that the presence of Central Asia in the UNSC would contribute to strengthening the role of the United Nations as a universal, global, and indispensable international organization.
