The Department of State Revenue for Pavlodar region hosted a seminar with the participation of the Head of the Regional Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main purpose of the meeting was to form the image of the civil service and raise the level of legal and ethical culture of civil servants.

During the event, the key provisions of the current legislation on public service and anti-corruption were reviewed. The participants paid special attention to the issues of compliance with the Code of Ethics of Civil Servants.

Opening the seminar, the Deputy Head of the Department, Ethics Commissioner Marat Beisenov, noted that the basic principles of public service are legality, professionalism, responsibility, transparency and focus on the needs of citizens.

In his speech, Madiyar Abildin, Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in the Pavlodar region, stressed that the Code of Ethics plays a special role in the civil service system, as it defines the norms of official behavior, moral guidelines and standards of interaction with citizens. And compliance with ethical standards helps to strengthen public confidence in government agencies, form the image of a civil servant and improve the quality of public services.

At the end of the event, Madiyar Abildin recommended that the Department's staff strictly comply with the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Civil Service", "On Combating Corruption", as well as the requirements of the Code of Ethics.
