Today, on the eve of Independence Day, a traditional solemn event honoring the best athletes took place in the city of Kostanay.

This year, awards were given to 40 athletes and their coaches who achieved high results at national and international competitions. They were awarded cash certificates, and members of the public who contribute to the development of the sports movement in Kostanay were also noted.

It was noted that the amount of monetary incentives for athletes increases annually: if in 2022 it amounted to 150 thousand tenge, it has now reached 450 thousand tenge.

In the traditional Olympic Hope nomination, young gymnast Ilya Zaitsev, the winner of the VI Youth Games and the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in gymnastics, as well as his coach Sergey Sergeev, were awarded.

At the end of the event, the participants were thanked for their perseverance, professionalism and desire to win, emphasizing that their achievements strengthen the sporting authority of Kostanay and serve as an example for young people.
