Rules for organizing the slaughter of farm animals intended for subsequent sale.

The State Institution "Mendykarinskaya RTI KVKiN MAS RK" reports that the slaughter of farm animals intended for subsequent sale is carried out at slaughterhouses or meat processing plants that comply with veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) standards, in accordance with Order No. 7-1/370 of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 27, 2015.
The slaughter of farm animals intended for subsequent sale is not permitted in places that do not meet veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) requirements.
During the absence of slaughterhouses or meat processing plants, the slaughter of farm animals and veterinary inspection of the animal and its slaughter products shall be carried out at slaughterhouses (farm animal slaughterhouses).
When slaughtering animals at slaughterhouses, the veterinarian shall:
- check for the presence of an accompanying veterinary document (veterinary certificate or veterinary certificate) for farm animals (or an individual animal) received for slaughter on the well-being of the territory of the relevant administrative-territorial unit, indicating the results of the pre-slaughter inspection of the animal;
- check for the presence of an individual number and a veterinary passport for the farm animal;
- ante-mortem veterinary inspection of farm animals with thermometry and post-mortem inspection of carcasses and organs, branding of carcasses and organs before sale (subject to veterinary and sanitary examination), in accordance with veterinary regulations.
The sale of products (meat and meat products) and raw materials of animal origin at domestic trade facilities is permitted upon presentation of veterinary documents confirming the slaughter of the farm animal in accordance with slaughter requirements.
