KazRockets is proud to announce the launch of registration for SpaceHack 2024, a research hackathon organized with the support of RocketTech. The hackathon is dedicated to the development of innovative ideas for space colonization and provides students in grades 7-12 with the opportunity to present their projects at the international NSS Space Settlement Contest 2025.
About SpaceHack 2024
SpaceHack 2024 is aimed at students in grades 7-12 who will develop unique solutions for creating permanent settlements in space. The event is aimed at developing engineering skills, critical thinking and a creative approach to solving global space problems. Participants will be able to demonstrate their developments and represent Kazakhstan in the international arena.
Format and participation
The hackathon will be held in an online format, but for the convenience of participants, special gathering places will be organized in 17 regions of Kazakhstan, where teams can gather to work on projects. These regional hubs, including the Astana Hub, will provide a space for interaction between participants and support from mentors.
Registration for the hackathon is free and open until December 8, 2024. To apply, you must visit the KazRockets website and fill out the registration form. The number of seats is limited, so it is recommended to register in advance.
Prizes and opportunities
The winners of SpaceHack 2024 will have the opportunity to present their projects at the international NSS Space Settlement Contest 2025 in the USA, as well as valuable prizes and support for further development of their ideas. This is a unique chance for schoolchildren to contribute to the development of space technologies and innovations.

SpaceHack 2024 is supported by leading companies and educational institutions, including RocketTech. Important mentoring support in the hackathon is provided by the Ministry of Digital Development, Aerospace Industry Innovation (ICRIAP) and Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary (KGS), who will help participants at all stages of working on projects, providing valuable recommendations and expert support.
