An inspection of the progress of work on cleaning the Saucer lake, located in the Airport microdistrict, was carried out.

The recreation area on this territory was established in 2017, but the initial project did not provide for measures to clean up the reservoir. In this regard, the issue of the unsatisfactory condition of the lake has been repeatedly raised by residents of the neighborhood.

In 2023 and 2024, the Department of Natural Resources conducted competitive procedures to clean up the lake, but the contractors did not fulfill their obligations. As a result, at the beginning of this year, it was decided to start work on cleaning and dredging the reservoir.

Currently, cleaning is carried out on an area of 4.3 hectares with cutting of vegetation around the perimeter and removal of silt deposits. The issue of the supply of meltwater for the subsequent filling of the lake is also being worked out.

The work is performed by a local contractor. The project is being implemented at the expense of attracted funds with the support of an entrepreneur operating in the Airport microdistrict.

The deadline for completion is June 1, 2026.
