The Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Forum has begun in Islamabad

The Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Forum has opened in Islamabad. The event is being held as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The business forum aims to deepen trade, economic, investment, and industrial cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. The forum will be a key business platform for the visit and will facilitate direct dialogue between representatives of government agencies, the quasi-public sector, and businesses from Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
The forum program includes a plenary session with the participation of heads of relevant agencies, national companies, financial institutions, and large private companies, B2B and B2C meetings, and a ceremony to exchange folders containing signed commercial documents.
A total of 143 representatives from Kazakhstan are participating in the business forum, 24 of whom are from the quasi-public sector and 119 from the business community. From Pakistan, 180 companies are participating in the event.
The forum is expected to sign agreements covering a wide range of cooperation areas, including the creation of joint investment platforms, the development of transport and logistics routes using Pakistan's port infrastructure, e-commerce and postal logistics, banking and Islamic finance, industrial cooperation, the production of electric buses, sugar, building materials, and paints and varnishes, as well as collaboration in IT, GovTech, the startup ecosystem, the textile industry, medicine, and the defense industry.
