Budapest, 2 February 2026 – During a meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary, A.Saparbekuly, and the Head of the Department for Export Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Ms. N.Olah, the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hungary, as well as issues related to expanding mutual exports of domestically produced goods were discussed.
The Kazakh side provided a detailed overview of the country’s export potential and presented specific examples of successful project implementation involving Hungarian companies aimed at promoting Kazakhstan products in foreign markets. During the meeting, the parties noted that Hungary possesses significant potential to serve as a “gateway” for promoting Kazakhstan exports to the markets of the European Union.
Following the talks, the Hungarian side expressed its readiness to provide a platform for holding business meetings and establishing direct contacts between companies of the two countries. An agreement was also reached to intensify cooperation between the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) and the National Export Development Operator - QazTrade, with a view to further expanding mutual exports.
The parties discussed the possibility of establishing a special Working Group on mutual export promotion, as well as jointly organizing events aimed at developing trade cooperation between manufacturing companies of Kazakhstan and Hungary.
Kazakhstan is consistently implementing a policy of economic diversification and expansion of non-resource exports, including products with high value added. In this regard, priority attention is given to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the introduction of innovations, the digitalization of production processes, and increasing the export orientation of domestic companies. State export support measures, including financial, institutional, and diplomatic instruments, create favorable conditions for Kazakhstan companies to enter foreign markets.Начало формы
