On February 6, 2026, a seminar was held at the venue of the State Revenue Administration for the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk with the participation of representatives of the State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan Region and the Unified Operator of the Information System for Goods Labeling and Traceability. The seminar was dedicated to explaining the provisions of the new Tax Code.

The opening speech was delivered by Askhat Zhibitayev, Head of the Indirect Tax Administration Division of the State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan Region. He spoke about the key changes related to value-added tax, including VAT rates, the procedure for VAT registration, refund of excess VAT amounts, as well as issues of excise tax administration.

Speakers from the Unified Operator included Leila Mustafina, Project Manager for the labeling of beer and beer beverages, and Galina Gilmanova, Chief Business Analyst. During the seminar, participants were informed about the legislative requirements for mandatory labeling of beer and beer beverages, the procedure for working in the labeling information system was explained, and practical issues faced by retail sellers were discussed.

Gulmira Sabralimova, Head of the Explanatory Work Department and Contact Center of the State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan Region, familiarized participants with the main changes in tax legislation, special tax regimes, and transitional provisions of the new Tax Code.

Gulnar Galyamova, a certified professional accountant and first-category tax consultant of the Republic of Kazakhstan, spoke about the procedure for transitioning from a special tax regime to the generally established regime, as well as the specifics of accounting and tax reporting under the generally established taxation regime.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions of interest and receive clarifications from the speakers.
