Representatives of ethnocultural associations in Shymkent expressed support for the new draft Constitution

A round table was held at the "House of Friendship" in Shymkent with the participation of representatives of ethnocultural associations on the topic "The basis of Kazakhstan's statehood is unity and harmony." Members of the Council of Elders under the city's Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and representatives of the scientific and expert group participated in the event, who conducted explanatory work on the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, Kairat Anarbayev, Head of the Scientific and Expert Group under the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Shymkent, Director of the Department of the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after U. Zhanibekov, spoke in detail about the main directions of the new draft Constitution. He noted that the updated version of the Constitution is aimed at strengthening the unity of the country and social harmony.

– There is every reason to call the new draft Constitution a truly people's Constitution. Positive changes are clearly visible starting from the Preamble. In the new version of the Constitution, the Introduction section has been completely updated, which, based on the millennial history of the Great Steppe, defines the main goals and objectives of the Constitution. In addition, the new version identifies human capital, education, science and innovation as the main strategic directions of state policy. Most importantly, human rights and life have been defined as the highest value, - said Kairat Saparkhanuly.

During the exchange of views, Gulzhan Sugirbayeva, Chairwoman of the Mothers' Council under the city's ANC, noted that the new draft Constitution provides for systematic changes aimed at preserving traditional national values and strengthening the institution of the family. She also noted that the Mothers' Council is actively working in this direction.

During the event, Yuri Pan, Deputy Chairman of the City Assembly, Chairman of the City Korean Ethnocultural Association, Ramilya Iskanderova, Chairwoman of the City Tatar-Bashkir Ethnocultural Association, and representatives of other ethnocultural associations spoke and expressed their opinions and suggestions regarding the new draft Constitution.

The roundtable participants discussed the draft new Constitution extensively and expressed their full support.
