The day of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
On February 13, veteran-internationalists and villagers gathered at the Memorial Stone to honor those who did not return from that war, bow their heads before the courage of the soldiers, and keep alive the memory of events forever etched in history.
Speeches of gratitude and respect were delivered by Olga Nurgalieva, Head of the Department of Internal Policy; Raisa Ovcharova, Chairperson of the District Council of Veterans; veteran-internationalist Yesen Bimurzin; and Ivan Tsyrelchuk, Chairperson of the District Police Veterans’ Council.
The staff of the District House of Culture added a special warmth to the event: their thematic performances, music, and heartfelt words touched everyone’s hearts, reminding all of the value of memory and human gratitude.
This day is not just a date on the calendar.
It is pain, it is courage, it is a memory that unites generations.
