Deputy Mayor of Shymkent Sarsen Kuranbek held a special meeting with members of the Public Council. During the meeting, the national interest, the role of the state language in society, current issues in the field of religion, as well as changes and additions within the framework of the new Constitutional reform, were widely discussed.
At the meeting, the deputy mayor of the city noted that stability and sustainable development in society begin with the preservation of national values and strengthening the rule of law.
— The new Constitutional reform is an important step towards the future of the country. The changes in it will not only expand the rights and freedoms of citizens, but also create a solid legal basis for the development of science and education. This is a decision of strategic importance, - said Sarsen Kuranbek.
During the meeting, the current state of education in the city, the quality of education in schools, the status of teachers, and issues of supporting science were comprehensively discussed. Participants noted that public demand for science and education is growing, and the state is paying special attention to this area.
It was noted that the granting of constitutional status to science and education within the framework of the constitutional reform is an important step for representatives of the industry. It was reported that new opportunities are being considered aimed at improving funding mechanisms, supporting scientific research, and developing the education system.
The main draft law also includes the issue of granting academic freedom to educational and scientific organizations. It was believed that this initiative will allow for flexible formation of curricula, expand the scope of scientific research, and improve the quality of education.
During the meeting, the work of the members of the Public Council was analyzed and plans for the coming period were presented. It was noted that the Public Council plays a special role in ensuring an open dialogue between state bodies and society.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their recommendations and noted the need to continue work on strengthening public consensus and explaining reforms.
