19 February 2026, Montreal. By the initiative of the Russian Side, a meeting was held between Mr. Timur Tlegenov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and Mr. Alexander Batalov, Representative of the Russian Federation to ICAO. The meeting took place at the Office of the Permanent Representation of Kazakhstan at ICAO Headquarters.

During the discussion, the Parties reviewed current issues of Kazakhstan–Russia cooperation in the field of civil aviation, including collaboration within the ICAO framework. They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to maintaining constructive cooperation aimed at strengthening flight safety, enhancing the efficiency of air navigation services, and ensuring the sustainable development of the aviation sector.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and open exchange of views.

Officials of the Permanent representations of Kazakhstan and Russia to ICAO also took part in the meeting.
