Madrid, 24 February 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain
Danat Mussayev addressed an international conference dedicated to the economic potential of Central Asian countries.

The event was organized jointly by the Embassies of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan together with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce. Participants included Vice-President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Eva Serrano Clavero, CEO of «ESKZ GLOBAL» Adolfo Romero, representative of the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan Julia Bañeres, expert of the EU Capacity Development Programme for the Trans-Caspian Corridor Emre Erdoğan, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain Farrukh Tursunov, members of the diplomatic corps and around 90 representatives of Spanish companies and business circles.

In his remarks, Ambassador Mussayev highlighted that Spain remains one of Kazakhstan’s key trade and economic partners within the European Union. He presented Kazakhstan’s socio-economic development, business climate, incentives for foreign investors, and the country’s growing transit potential.

The Kazakh diplomat also drew the audience’s attention to the ongoing constitutional reform in Kazakhstan, which lays the long-term foundations for the country’s development and ensures stability and predictability for foreign investors.

For her part, the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce elaborated on the main drivers of Kazakhstan’s economic growth and highly appreciated the reforms undertaken in the country, noting that Kazakhstan today represents a reliable international partner and the leading economy in Central Asia.

Spanish companies expressed interest in identifying Kazakh partners for potential cooperation. Following the event, an agreement was reached to organize a business mission of regional companies to Kazakhstan in May 2026.
