A large-scale investment project to expand the production of "Khimpharm" JSC (trademark "Polpharma Santo") is being implemented in Shymkent. The relevant investment agreement has been approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The total volume of private investments is about 40 billion tenge. Within the framework of the project, new production lines will be built and the range of manufactured medicines will be expanded to 38 names. Among them are drugs for the treatment of oncological, cardiovascular and infectious diseases.

The launch of the first phase of production is scheduled for the end of 2029. During the implementation of the investment project, approximately 300 new jobs will be created. This will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the metropolis.

The Polish side also plans to build a Quality and Innovation Center in Shymkent, which will include a research and development center and modern laboratories for the development of new medicinal products.

The opening of the plant will allow increasing the share of domestic pharmaceutical production, reducing dependence on imports, and strengthening Shymkent's position as one of the leading pharmaceutical centers in the country.
