“Burabay Fishing Cup 2026” is dedicated to preserving the unique ecosystem of Burabay Resort.

As part of the festival, special attention will be given to the principles of responsible fishing:
• compliance with established catch limits;
• use of permitted fishing gear;
• careful drilling of ice holes without excessive damage to the ice cover;
• mandatory collection and removal of all waste after fishing;
• обязательная purchase of a fishing permit for the water bodies of the State National Nature Park “Burabay”;
• respectful and sustainable use of aquatic biological resources.

Development of Winter Tourism

The “Burabay Fishing Cup 2026” festival brings together winter fishing enthusiasts, families, and tourists, strengthening Burabay’s status as a year-round destination. Hosting such events enhances the region’s tourism appeal and promotes a culture of environmentally responsible travel.

Nominations and Awards

Following the results of the festival, participants will be awarded in the following categories:
• “Drilling Speed” (fastest drilling of 3 ice holes);
• “Big Fish” (largest fish caught);
• “First Fish” (first catch);
• Largest Total Catch Weight (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places);
• Youngest Participant;
• Most Experienced Participant.

Winners and prize holders will receive diplomas and commemorative prizes from the organizers and partners of the festival.

The festival is held with the support of the State National Nature Park “Burabay” and Wyndham Garden Burabay Hotel.
