Currently, cases of distribution of malicious software installed on mobile devices with the Android operating system are being recorded.
Attackers use various methods of infection:
- sending phishing links through messengers and social networks;
- fake mobile apps;
- malicious applications disguised as photos, videos, and documents;
- messages on behalf of government agencies, banks and delivery services;
- calls on behalf of various organizations, under the pretext of participating in an action or a raffle, where you need to install the application;
After installing such software, attackers gain remote access to the device, which can lead to the following consequences:
- embezzlement of funds from bank accounts;
- making online loans without the owner's knowledge;
- access to personal data, photos and correspondence;
- using accounts to further spread fraudulent messages;
- device lock followed by a ransom demand.
In order to protect yourself, we recommend that you:
- do not install applications at the request of third parties;
- do not share the SMS code to third parties;
- do not follow questionable links;
- checking permissions for installed applications;
- use antivirus software;
- enable notification of banking transactions.
Signs of installed malicious software:
- fast battery discharge;
- the mobile device heats up more than usual;
- various icons of applications on the screen that you did not install.
If signs of infection are detected, it is necessary to immediately disconnect the device from the Internet, contact the bank to block transactions and inform law enforcement agencies.

Be careful and don't trust questionable apps. Digital security is the responsibility of every user.
