The Ambassador met with Farrukh Pulatov, Chairman of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan

On 25 February 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, B. Atamkulov, held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Farrukh Pulatov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues related to the development of cooperation in the tax sphere within the framework of the dynamically evolving Kazakh-Uzbek relations.
The Ambassador noted the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to improve the tax system, the recently introduced benefits for agricultural producers, and the effectiveness of the tax amnesty measures adopted.
The Head of the diplomatic mission informed about the tax policy reforms carried out in Kazakhstan, including the modernization of tax administration and the entry into force of the new Tax Code at the beginning of this year.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the digitalization of the tax sector, the development of electronic services, and the introduction of innovative solutions.
The parties exchanged views on tax policy regarding foreign investors, the functioning of special economic zones, as well as the existing preferences granted to residents of IT Park Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the importance of close cooperation between the relevant authorities to ensure the predictability of tax policy and create favorable conditions for business was emphasized, and readiness was expressed to further exchange experience and strengthen cooperation between the tax authorities of the two countries.
