On February 24, a round table discussion was held at the Bastaushy Rural Library as part of the “One Country – One Book” campaign, посвящённая историческому роману Kabdesh Zhumadilov’s Fate, titled “The Historical Novel ‘Fate’ – A Chronicle of National Tragedy and Resilience.”

During the event, participants discussed the main theme of the novel, the destinies of its characters, and the author’s skill in portraying historical truth. Among the speakers were Kulbaghi Erzhanova, a resident of Bastaushy village and a reader of the rural library; K. Rysbekova, a teacher of Kazakh language and literature at Abai Secondary School; as well as 5th-grade students.

The round table was aimed at broadening readers’ historical awareness and fostering respect for the history of their country.
