As part of the course toward digitalization and the development of artificial intelligence outlined by the Head of State, the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is consistently implementing modern technological solutions. Another step in this direction has been realized at Military Unit 5573, where a conscript serviceman, Private Kim Hyun-Woo, developed an information portal.
The new digital resource is aimed at optimizing the unit’s operations and has already made it possible to automate a number of service processes, significantly reducing time costs.
The author of the project, Private Kim Hyun-Woo, is a native of Almaty. He studied information technology and is successfully applying the knowledge he acquired in his military service. In the future, he plans to obtain an educational grant under the “Srochnik 2.0” program to further improve his professional skills.
It was precisely his professional competencies and interest in digital solutions that enabled him to become involved in improving the internal processes of the military unit. Under the supervision of senior officers, Private Kim analyzed the unit’s activities to identify areas requiring digital solutions. The study revealed that particular attention needed to be paid to improving the information exchange system.
As a result, important information that was previously communicated mainly during formation assemblies is now promptly published via the portal. This has simplified document management, ensured timely updates of orders, and kept data current.
Special attention was also given to the work of the psychological service. With the assistance of Kim Hyun-Woo, an algorithm for the automated processing of test results of conscript servicemen was developed. According to military psychologists, the implemented solution has saved approximately 500 working hours in just six months.
— The army has become a school of resilience for me. Military Unit 5573 has created all the conditions necessary for conscript servicemen. Thanks to discipline and high standards, there are broad opportunities for self-development. I intend to make the most effective use of my year of service by mastering new professional skills, — the guardsman noted.
In the future, the serviceman plans to continue introducing digital solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of combat service organization. The main goal is to increase the speed of processes and create more comfortable conditions for servicemen of the law-enforcement forces.
